H&W Emergency Vehicles, located 15 miles west of Portland in Hillsboro, Oregon, has been in the fire apparatus manufacturing, sales and service industry since 1986. The Company was originally dedicated to the maintenance, service and refurbishment of existing fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. In 1989, at the request of many of their customers, H&W Emergency Vehicles began manufacturing new fire apparatus and emergency vehicles. H&W operates from a modern 35,000 sq. ft. fully equipped manufacturing facility.

H&W Emergency Vehicles was founded in 1986 by Melvin (Hap) Lee, (Retired) and Wendell (Wink) Weber. Wink is the CEO of the company. Jeff Weber is the President & COO and has been with the company since 1991. Mitch James is the Plant Manager and has been with the company since 1990. Steve Jahn is Director of Sales & Marketing and has been with the company since 1994, with over 20 years in the Fire Apparatus Industry in the Pacific Northwest. The company has many other outstanding associates with years of experience in the emergency vehicle industry, giving us vast depth in assisting you to choose the right equipment for your agency.

H&W has an established sales and service network throughout the Pacific Northwest, with operations located in Marysville and Pullman Washington, Hillsboro and Reedsport Oregon, Anchorage (Wasilla) Alaska and both Northern and Southern California. H&W Emergency Vehicles is dedicated to service and support after the sale, to insure that our customers will return to H&W for all their Fire Apparatus and Emergency Vehicle needs.

H&W Emergency Vehicles manufactures a full line of fire apparatus, including Class A Pumpers, Water Tenders, Quick Attack/RIV units, Walk in & Non Walk in Rescue units, Air, Light & Hazmat & Command Units, outfitting of police, fire and EMS vehicles and a full line of Compressed air foam (CAFS) units. You need it-we have it, You want it, we can build it!

We are an authorized OEM manufacturer on all major brands of heavy duty chassis, including Spartan Motors Premium Custom Chassis, International, Kenworth, Peterbilt and Freightliner Chassis, as well as light duty units on the Ford or GM chassis of your choice.

H&W is also the authorized agent for a full line of Fire & EMS Emergency Vehicle products from industry experts, including Horton Emergency Vehicles (Premium Type 1 & III Aid/Medic Units), American Emergency Vehicles (Type I, II & III Aid/Medic Units), Road Rescue, Inc (Type I, II, & III Aid/Medic Units), and Crimson Fire Apparatus (Aerials & full apparatus line).  H&W is your complete Emergency Vehicle Specialist!

H&W specializes in complete repair, retro-fit and refurbishment of your existing emergency vehicles, regardless of manufacturer. Our service department has technicians with combined experience of over 40 years in the Emergency Vehicle Industry. We are widely known for our expertise in the repair and refurbishment of damaged or older apparatus. H&W also provides fire pump repair and testing and mobile service throughout the Pacific Northwest on all brands of pumps and apparatus.

We utilize EVT certified (Emergency Vehicle Technician) mechanics on all our repair and refurbishment work. We also utilize certified welders for all structural welding, certified to weld steel, aluminum, stainless steel and polypropylene materials.

H&W’s factory is fully equipped for complete manufacturing “In House”, with a full complement of metal fabrication equipment (shear, break, metal worker, plasma cutter, etc.) tank manufacturing from either Polypropylene or steel, in house graphics & engraving capabilities and a full parts depot to insure parts are available for you where and when you need them.
