New Deliveries
Houston, Alaska Volunteer Fire Department, Houston, Alaska, has taken delivery of their first H&W Apparatus, a new H&W "Sentry" Series 100/125 CAFS pumper, built on a Freightliner M2 106 Chassis. The apparatus was designed to meet the operational needs of the Houston VFD. The apparatus features H&W's "Double Wall" body construction, with a special 100" width for additional compartment depth. Painted ROM doors enclosed the compartments for ease of access to all areas of the body. The pump is a Hale Q-Series 1250 GPM Midship mounted pump with a 200 CFM Odin PTO CAFS system, a 1000 gallon H&W Polypropylene Booster Tank and a Foam Pro 2002 foam proportioner with 30 Gallon foam cell. The pump compartment is fully insulated, sealed and heated to fend off the extreme cold climates in Alaska. There are a total of four (4) preconnect handlines that are foam and CAFS capable for rapid deployment. The crosslays are on "removable" trays, for ease of reloading. The unit features an all Tomar Strobe lighting package as well as Tomar Scene light package. Tomar was chosen by the Houston VFD to provide a trouble free and completely water proof lighting system. Edmonds Fire Department, Edmonds, WA, has taken delivery of a new H&W "Warrior" Custom Pumper to serve and protect the citizens of Edmonds. This unit features a Sp artan Gladiator LFD; Chassis w/10" raised roof; Darley 1500 GPM pump; 500 Gallon Polypropylene tank; Class A Foam System-Foam Pro 2001; Booster Reel with H&W CAFS; Double Wall; Aluminum Body; Special Body Design; Pump Compartment Storage; Hydraulic Ladder Rack; LDH plumbing; and 12 Volt Telescoping Lights. This unit is available for "Add On" orders.H&W wishes to thank Chief Thomas Tomberg, and the Edmonds Fire Department for the purchase of their 1st H&W Warrior Pumper.
Sisters/Camp Sherman, OR has taken delivery of a new H&W "Wildcat" Initial Attack Unit to serve the rural and remote areas of the Camp Sherman region. This unit features H&W's Double Wall Heavy Duty Body, Additional High Side Diamond Plate Storage Compartments, Special "Headache Rack" to accommodate the light bar and other options, Dual Pre Plumbed Booster Reels, and a flat bed area to accommodate Sister's existing Skid Unit". This unit also features a Code 3 combination LED Warning Light Package and Custom Built Console in the cab to accommodate radio and siren installation. This is the Department's 1st H&W product and we are pleased that Sisters/Camp Sherman has chosen H&W to serve their area.
La Grande Fire Department, La Grande, OR has taken delivery of a new Horton 623 Medium Duty Ambulance featuring the following: 2006 GMC TC4500 4x4 Chassis; 173" custom Horton Body with a walk through configuration; Double step curbside entry; Cabinet wall with CPR seat; Large front wall cabinet; Horton's Intelliplex Electrical System; Automatic primary/secondary switching; Oxygen monitoring system; And lots of additional features! This is the Department's 2nd Horton product. Already serving their community is a 1999 Horton 553 Type III with similar equipment. H&W thanks La Grande Fire Department for their support!
Mason County Fire District #1, Hoodsport, WA has taken delivery of a new H&W 300/10-KW Water Tender Apparatus featuring the following: Kenworth T-800 Chassis provided by Kenworth Northwest, 410 HP Cummins Diesel with Allison 4000P-EVS Transmission, H&W Double Wall Aluminum Body, H&W 3000 gallon Water Tank with "Under Tank" storage for Fold-a-Tank, Darley LSP-1000 PTO Pump, Hydraulic Ladder Rack with 35' 3-Section Duo-Safety Ladder, 12V Perimeter Scene Lighting, Whelen LED warning light package and numerous other features. Camano Island Fire & Rescue, Camano, WA, located in Northwest Washington, has taken delivery of a 2006 Horton model 653 Type 1 Medium Duty Aid/Medic unit to serve the Citizens of Camano Island, WA. The unit is built on an International 4400LP (low profile) chassis with air suspension and other features for long service life. This unit was especially designed with many features to enhance operability, occupant safety and longevity. This unit features Horton's newest design with a forward walk in door, creating a "crash zone" in the front of the module to provide front impact protection and a crush zone for both patients and District personnel. In addition, this unit has enhanced work station features with dual controls for the module accessories, allowing personnel to stay seated, yet have access to all functions required for patient comfort and care, such as climate controls, lighting, rear stereo speakers and other items. This unit is also fully "crash tested" with 3rd party certification to provide the safest working environment possible. H&W thanks Camano Island Fire & Rescue for their use of our products.
Snohomish County Fire District #28, Index, WA has taken delivery of a new H&W 100/125-SD fire apparatus featuring the following: Spartan Diamond Classic Series chassis, 400 HP Cummins Diesel and Allison EVS-3000 Transmission, Custom Built H&W aluminum double wall apparatus body with Painted ROM Roll up Doors, Rear Access Fully Enclosed Ladder Tunnel, 1000 gallon H&W Polypropylene Booster Tank w/Foam Cell, Hale Foam Logix foam system, Waterous CS-1250 pump, Pre-plumbed Monitor, 5000KW Honda generator with Cord Reel, Kwik-Raze 110V Telescoping Scene Lighting and a Whelen LED warning light package. This unit is Index’s first H&W, but certainly not their last! H&W thanks the Index Fire Department for their support!
